Trevor Birch is a business restructuring partner with BDO LLP.

Trevor was a professional footballer initially with Liverpool, then Shrewsbury Town and Chester City before training to be an accountant. In 2002, he became chief executive of Chelsea Football Club, where he brokered Roman Abramovich’s £180 million takeover of the club. After leaving Chelsea undertook other quasi-restructuring roles in the football industry, serving as chief executive of Leeds United, Everton, Derby County and, most recently, Sheffield United.
